On the General Info page of the Edit <Host> wizard, you can update the general host information, as follows: 

  • Name: Enter the name of the host.

  • Description: Enter additional information about the host.

  • Serial Number: Update the serial number of your host.

    • For physical BloxOne hosts, get the serial number from the Cloud Services Portal or the console displayed on the monitor you connected to the appliance.

    • For physical VEP-1425 and VEP-1485 physical appliances, obtain the seven-digit serial number from the Service Tag label on the bottom of the appliance.

  • IP Space: From the drop-down menu, choose or search for an IP Space space in which you want your host to reside.

  • API Access Key: Displays the The information used mainly for backward-compatibility purposes, in scenarios where a host was configured using an API access key associated with this host. You will need this key when setting up the host so you can establish to establish a connection to the host connection. Click Copy to get the key. This is mainly for backward compatibility purposes if your host was configured using an API access key associated with the host.

  • Tags: Click (blue star) and then click  Add to specify the keys to be associated with the host:

    • KEY: Enter a meaningful name for the key, such as a location or a department.  

    • VALUE: Enter a value for the key. Select the appropriate checkbox, and enter the value for the associated key.

Click Next to go to the IP Interface Settings page. You can also click Cancel to cancel the configuration or click Finish to save the configurationit.
