The DHCP config profiles are applicable to the service instances they are assigned to. All the settings are inherited from the Global DHCP Configuration. However, at the DHCP Configuration Profile level, you can override the values inherited from the Global DHCP Configuration.
To create a DHCP config profile:

- Name: Enter a name for the DHCP Config Profile.
- Description: Enter additional information about the DHCP Config Profile.
- Tags: For information about tags, see Managing Tags.
- Configure the following:
- Automated Scope Management: Based on the configuration of these parameters, BloxOne DDI analyzes the data and provides suggestions on how you can scale your subnets in advance. See Configuring Automated Scope Management.
- Leases: You can set parameters to control how the DHCP server responds to lease requests for clients and hardware. See Defining Lease Times.
- DHCP Options: DHCP options provide specific configuration and service information to DHCP clients. See Configuring DHCP Options.
- DDNS: DDNS updates go to BloxOne DDI managed zones or zones hosted by an external DNS server. For example, you can configure NIOS as the external primary server. See Enabling DDNS for IPv4 Clients.
- Filters: To control how BloxOne DDI allocates IPv4 addresses, you can define DHCP filters and apply them to the DHCP config profile. See Configuring DHCP Filters.
