  • Microsoft Hyper-V module for Windows PowerShell is required to successfully configure the vNIOS appliance. Infoblox recommends that you back up your existing configuration before deploying the vNIOS appliance.
  • Deployment of the vNIOS appliance using the PowerShell is supported only on Windows Server 2012 R2. It is not supported on Windows Server 2016 and 2019.

You must first install the vNIOS appliance using Windows PowerShell® before configuring it as a Grid member or a reporting appliance. Note that the reporting appliance can be configured only on a Microsoft Windows 2012 R2 Server.
