  1. Go to Manage > DNS.

  2. Click DTC and choose DTC Policy.

  3. Click Create DTC Policy.

    Configure the following in the Create DTC Policy screen:

  4. State: Choose whether the policy is Enabled or Disabled. By default, it is Enabled.

  5. Name: Specify a name for the policy.

  6. Description: Provide a description for the policy.

  7. Load balancing type: Choose one of the following:

  8. Global Availability: Directs clients to the first available pool and server.

  9. Ratio:Requests to pools and servers are distributed according to their assigned weightage.
  10. Round Robin: Available pools and servers are chosen sequentially in the configured order. Weights are ignored.

  11. Topology: Applies a predefined geographic mapping method.

  12. TTL: The TTL settings are inherited from the parent. For example, a pool is a parent for the policy. TTL settings are inherited from the pool. To specify different TTL settings, toggle Override and specify the TTL in Days, Hours, Minutes, Second, or Weeks.

  13. Click Next.

  14. In the Pools pane, you can either add an existing pool you created as described in the topic Creating DTC Pools or create a new pool. Click Add Pool and choose the pool from the list. Alternatively, click Create New Pool and

  • Click Next.

  • In the Server pane, you can either add an existing server you created as described in the topic Creating DTC Servers or create a new server. Click Add Server and configure the following:

    • Server Name: Choose the server from the list.

    • Weight: Specify the weight in percentage. The Weight drop-down is shown only if the Load balancing type is specified as Ratio.

  • Click Next.

  • Click Save
