To control how BloxOne Universal DDI allocates IPv4 addresses, you can define DHCP filters and apply them to the Global DHCP Configuration. You can also apply DHCP filters to address space, network, and subnets. For more information on creating the filters see Creating IPv4 Hardware Filters and Creating Option Filters

To configure DHCP filters, complete the following:

  1. From the Cloud Services Infoblox Portal, click Manage - > IPAM/DHCP -> Global DHCP Configuration.
  2. On the Global DHCP Configuration page, click Filters and configure an IPv4 or IPv6 filter. Click Filters -> Add to add a DHCP filter to the list or click Remove to delete the entry. Configure the following settings:
    • Filter Name: Select a value from the drop-down list. Select Hardware Name to select hardware filters or MAC addresses and Option Name to define option filters.  
    • Filter Type: Displays the filter type based on the filter name you select.
  3. Click Save & Close to save the details or click Cancel to exit.
