On the General Info page of the Edit <Host><Server> wizard, you can update the general host server information, as follows: 

  • Name: Enter the name of the hostserver. This is a required field.

  • Description: Enter additional information about the hostserver.

  • Serial Number: Update the serial number of your hostserver.

    • For physical BloxOne hosts, get the serial number from the Cloud Services Portal or the console displayed on the monitor you connected to the appliance.For VEP-1425 and VEP-1485 physical appliancesservers, obtain the seven-digit serial number from the Service Tag label on the bottom of the applianceserver.

  • IP Space: From the drop-down menu, choose or search for an IP Space space in which you want your host server to reside.

  • API Access Key: Displays the API access key associated with this host. You need this key when setting up the host so you can establish the host connection. Click Copy to get the key. This is mainly for backward compatibility purposes if your host was configured using an API access key.

  • Tags: Click (blue star) and then click Location: From the drop-down list, choose a location profile you want to apply to the server. When you associate a location with the server, you can find the exact location of the server on the world map. For information, see Viewing General Server Information. You can also apply the same location profile to multiple servers to group the servers by location. For information about location management, see Managing Locations.

  • Tags: Click the down arrow and then Add to specify the keys to be associated with the hostserver:

    • KEY: Enter a meaningful name for the key, such as a location or a department.  

    • VALUE: Enter a value for the key. Select the appropriate checkbox, and enter the value for the associated key.

Click Next to go to the IP Interface Settings page. You can also click Cancel to cancel the configuration or click Finish to save the configurationit.
