An option space is a collection of DHCP options. DHCP servers support the DHCP option space by default. You can create option spaces to provide additional configuration or service information. Custom options defined in a user-defined option space are always encapsulated in option 43 in DHCP messages.

The application supports the predefined DHCP option space, vendor-specific options, and custom options:

To view the list of option spaces:

  1. From the
  2. Cloud Services
  3. Infoblox Portal, click
  4. Manage -
  5. Configure > Networking > IPAM/DHCP
  6. -
  7. > Option Spaces.
  8. The application displays the following information:
    • NAME: The name of the option space.
    • DESCRIPTION: Additional information about the option space.

You can also do the following in this tab:

  • Click the menu button, to reorder the columns.

  • Click the menu button, -> Edit, and then Edit, or select the check box for the respective record and click the Edit button to modify an option space.

  • Select an option space to view additional details. If you do not want to view the details in the right panel, click the information button, .

  • Enter the value that you want to search in the Search text box. The application displays the list of records matching the keyword in the text box.

  • Click the filter button, Image Modified, to filter the objects by by name and descriptionTo save a filter after selecting the required parameters click Image RemovedSave Filter, specify a name for the filter, and click click Save & Close. To reload a previously saved filter, click Image Removed, click the saved filters button, Image Added, and select the required filter. 
  • Click the menu button, -> , and then Move to Recycle Bin to move the object to the recycle bin. You can restore the object later or delete it permanently as required. For more information, see Recycle Bin.
