When you select this option, NIOS automatically inherits the rule settings of the Grid for the respective profile. For example, if you update a rule at the Grid level, you can select this option to reflect the same changes in the profile. To inherit Grid rule settings for the selected profile, from the Data Management tab, select the Security tab -> Profiles tab, select the threat protection profile, click the Action icon icon
and then select Inherit Grid Rule Settings. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog box to inherit the settings.
