The following table lists the features for which the IP addresses are counted or not counted in the report:

IncludedNot Included
DHCP LeaseUnused addresses in DHCP ranges
DHCP fixed addressesUnused addresses in reserved ranges
Host addressesReserved addresses such as network and broadcast addresses
DNS records (A, AAAA, PTR)
Unmanaged addresses found by discovery

The Managed DDI Peak IP Usage Trend dashboard displays the following information in either line chart or table format.

The columns in the table display the following:

  • Time
  • IPv4 CountCount of IPv4 addresses at the time of daily peak usage aggregated across all networks in the Grid.
  • IPv6 CountCount of IPv6 addresses at the time of daily peak usage aggregated across all networks in the Grid.
  • Total Count: Daily peak total count of addresses at the time of peak usage aggregated across all networks in the Grid.
  • 5-Day Avg IPv4 Count: The 5-day rolling average of the IPv4 count (rounded off to nearest whole number).
  • 5-Day Avg IPv6 Count: The 5-day rolling average of the IPv6 count (rounded off to nearest whole number).
  • 5-Day Avg Total Count: The 5-day rolling average of the peak total address count (rounded off to nearest whole number).

VLAN Conflict

The VLAN Conflict dashboard displays details about those networks in which:

  • Assigned VLAN ID and discovered VLAN ID are not equal even though the VLAN names are the same.
  • Assigned VLAN name and discovered VLAN name are not the same even though the VLAN IDs are equal.
  • Discovered VLAN exists but there is no assigned VLAN in the network with the same VLAN ID and name.
  • Assigned VLAN exists but there is no discovered VLAN in the network with the same VLAN ID and name.

You can filter data based on discovered VLAN details, assigned VLAN details, conflict details and so on.

This dashboard displays the following information in table format:

  • Time: Time duration for which the report must be generated. Select a value from the drop-down list. The default value is Last 1 day.
  • Network View: Network view with which the network is associated.
  • Network: IP address of the network for which a conflict exists between the discovered and assigned VLAN objects
  • Netmask: Netmask of the network.
  • Protocol: IPv4 or IPv6 protocol that the network belongs to.
  • Discovered VLAN Name: VLAN name of the VLAN discovered by the network.
  • Discovered VLAN ID: VLAN ID of the VLAN discovered by the network.
  • Assigned VLAN Name: VLAN name assigned to the network.
  • Assigned VLAN ID: VLAN ID assigned to the network.
  • Conflict Reason: Reason of conflict between the discovered and assigned VLAN objects.
  • Discovered IP: IP address of the discovered system.

VLAN Inventory

The VLAN Inventory dashboard displays all existing VLANs that are created manually; that is, those VLANs that are not discovered.

This dashboard displays the following information in table format:

  • Time: Time duration for which the report must be generated. Select a value from the drop-down list. The default value is Last 1 day.
  • Assigned VLAN ID: VLAN ID assigned to the network.
  • Assigned VLAN Name: VLAN name assigned to the network.
  • VLAN View: VLAN view that the VLAN object belongs to.
  • VLAN Range: VLAN range that the VLAN object belongs to.
  • Status: Status of the VLAN object. The status can be Assigned, Unassigned, or Reserved. For more information, see Configuring VLAN Objects.
  • Assigned To: Network that the VLAN object is assigned to. If the VLAN object is assigned to multiple networks, Multiple is displayed.
  • Comment: Comment if any, entered when you created a VLAN object. For more information, see Configuring VLAN Objects.
  • Description: Description if any, entered when you created a VLAN object. For more information, see Configuring VLAN Objects.
  • Contact: Contact information if any, entered when you created a VLAN object. For more information, see Configuring VLAN Objects.
  • Department: Department information if any, entered when you created a VLAN object. For more information, see Configuring VLAN Objects.
