To properly shut down NetMRI, do one of the following:
- Go to Settings Click the Settings icon > General Settings > Shutdown Server and then select the necessary option.
- Log Log in to the Administrative Shell administrative shell and enter the
haltcommand accessible via SSH. For more information, see Other information > Administrative Shell in the NetMRI online help.

If you are evaluating NetMRI on a production network and want to erase all data collected before returning the unit, this is accomplished using the reset command in the NetMRI Administrative Shell administrative shell (accessible via SSH; see reference above). Executing the reset command erases the network database, deletes all files stored in the Administrator directory, and returns NetMRI to its factory default settings.
