To view the Lookalike Domains Custom Watched Domains page, do the following:

  1. Log in to the Cloud Services the Infoblox Portal.
  2. From the Cloud Services the Infoblox Portal, click Reports  > Lookalike Domains.
  3. Click on the Custom Watched Domains tab to go to the Custom Watched Domains page.

Only those domains that's resolvable is taken into account when user enters domains in the target for custom lookalike. However, currently there is no indication to the user if a domain is not considered (as its resolvable) or considered by the analytics engine. Analytics need to pass on the list that is accepted for Target list and that should be shown in UI, thru visual cue for user to understand which of their input is used (and more importantly - not used), so they are not misinformed.

Custom Watched Domains Table: The records table displays a list of lookalike domain records on the page. The records table can be viewed in a table or card format (default view), depending on the viewing option selected. See call-out Image Removed for information on suggested domains.

  • DOMAIN: The name of the lookalike domain added to the organization's custom watched domain list. 
  • DESCRIPTION: A description of the custom watched domain added for watching by your organization. 
  • STATUS: The following three status is supported:
    • Submitted: Suggested domain muted. 
    • Approved: Suggested domain approved for addition to the custom watch list. 
    • RejectedSuggested domain rejected for addition to the custom watch list.

Suggested Lookalikes:  Click Submitted Suggested Lookalikes to view suggested domains based on the custom added lookalike domainYou can see and use the suggestions as entries in your custom watched domains list or choose to discard any suggestionsA maximum of 25 suggested domains can be added to your custom lookalike list. Only those domains that resolve are taken into account when suggesting domains. The maximum number of 25 suggested domains that can be added for monitoring includes all user-added domains. AImage Removedit is the responsibility of the organization to review and add suggested domains per their requirements. Agole-colored star located next to the domain name on the custom watched domains list denotes it is a suggested domain. Image RemovedClick the triple bar icon ☰ on expanable menu icon on the custom watched domain table header to select what columns you want to display or to display the full list of columns that can be added to the custom watched domains table report. to select the columns you want to display.  You can use the up/down arrow associated with each column to reorder information in the columns. See call-out Image Removed I for information on what information each column item provides.

To add custom watch domains to Custom Lookalike Monitoring, do the following:

  1. On the Custom Watched Domains page, do the following:
  2. Click Create to display the Add Watched Domain dialog and add a custom watched domain to the watch list. 
  3.  In the Add Domains (Watched Domain) dialog, complete do the following steps:
    • DOMAIN (required field):   Add the name of the domain you want to add to your organization's custom watched lookalike domains list. Only second-level domains can be added to a custom watch list. Each custom watched domain must be composed of two contiguous alphanumeric strings separated by a dot (example: string1.string2).  Domains must be a minimum of three characters in length not counting the top-level domain, in order to be added to the list (example: 12345.com). Domains with fewer than three characters, not counting the top-level domain, cannot be added to the watch list (example: 1.com). 
    • DESCRIPTION: A description for the custom watch domain being added. This is an optional field. 
  4. Click Save & Close to add the domain to the lookalike domain Watched Domains list. 

Importing a Custom Watched Domains List

Click Import to upload a custom lookalike domain list in CSV format. See call-out Image Removed for B for information. You can update an existing list by clicking Select file or dragging and dropping the file into the light gray rectangular area where it says Drag File Here.  Click Import to complete the importing process. Do remember to not exceed the limit of 25 custom watched domains, including those domains on the CSV import file. Use the following template for creating a custom watched domain import list. When adding domains to the csv template, take care to keep the header (domain and description).

You can also do the following in this tab:

  • Click the triple bar icon expanable menu icon > Edit to modify the domain information. See call-out Image RemovedG for information. You can also select the respective domain and click the Edit button to do so. Alternatively, select the respective domain and click Edit on the top action bar to edit the custom watched domain information See call-out Image Removed for C for information.

  • Click the triple bar icon the expanable menu icon > Remove to delete a domain. See call-out Image RemovedG for information. You can also select the respective domain and click the Remove button to do so. See call-out Image Removed for D for information.

  • You can also select the number of records to be viewed per page by selecting the number of records to be viewed located in the lower left-hand corner of the page. 

  • You can view a specific  page of records by clicking on the page number located on the right-hand, bottom of the page.

Editing Custom Watched Domains

  • Domain-of-interest: Provide the name of the custom watched domain to be edited. Note that in the case of suggested domains, the Domain-of-interest field is not editable.
