Creating a service instance on specified hosts involves the following steps via a wizard:To efficiently handle protocol service traffic, utilize service instances to associate your services with particular network interfaces.
When setting up a protocol service, you choose a NIOS-X server on which you want to run the service. You can reassign or transfer the service to another NIOS-X server after you set up the service. This feature is useful if you need to update your network infrastructure or decommission a particular server.
Use the following steps to create these protocol services: Data Connector, DHCP, and DNS. For other protocol services, refer to their respective documentation.
The interface binding feature is currently unavailable for the NIOS Grid Connector service. The Create <Service> wizard will guide you through the applicable steps when creating a service.
To create a supported service instance, do the following:
Log in to the Infoblox Portal.
Go to Configure > Service Deployment > Protocol Service.
Click Create Service.
From the drop down menu, select the protocol service you want to create.
In the Create <Service> wizard, follow the steps in the wizard to create the service.
