To create a hostNIOS-X Server:

...

1. From the Cloud Services Infoblox Portal, click Manage -> IPAM/DHCP -> Hosts -> Create HostConfigure > Servers > Create Server.

2. On the Create HostServer page, specify the following:
   

   • Name: Enter a name for the hostNIOS-X Server.

   • Description: Enter additional information about the host.

   • Auto-generate DNS records for this host: Choose this option to allow for the automatic creation of the A, AAAA, CNAME, and PTR records in DNS for the associated IP address. This check box is not selected by default. 
   • HOSTNAMES: Click Add to add a host or click Remove to delete the entry. Complete the following to add a host:
     • Name: Specify the name of the host.
     • Primary Name: If this is the primary name, choose the option Primary Name.
     • Alias: Select this option if an Alias is to be generated. 
     • Zone: Select the zone from the drop-down.
   IP ADDRESSES: Click Add to associate IP addresses with the host or click Remove to delete the entry. Click Add and choose any of the following to associate IP addresses:
   • Manually Enter IP Address: Configure the following settings:
     
     • IP space: Select an IP space from the drop-down list. Note that the IP space must have a subnet defined to create a host.
     • IP address: Enter an IP address for the IP space. Note that the IP address associated with the IP space must be unique and you cannot associate it with another host record.
     • Next Available: Select the check box to allow BloxOne DDI to automatically get the next available subnet. This field is available only if the parent address block exists. For more information, see Configuring Next Available Network. This is not applicable to IPv6.
     • Scope: Specify the network scope. This field is available only if you select Next Available. 
   • Chose the IP address: Configure the following settings:
     • IP Address: Drill down to choose the IP address. Note that the IP address associated with the IP space must be unique and you cannot associate it with another host record.
     • IP space: Select an IP space from the drop-down list. Note that the IP space must have a subnet defined to create a host.
     • Next Available: Select the check box to allow BloxOne DDI to automatically get the next available subnet. This field is available only if the parent address block exists. For more information, see Configuring Next Available Network. This is not applicable to IPv6.
     • Scope: Specify the network scope. This field is available only if you select Next Available. 
   • Choose Scope: Configure the following settings:
     • Scope: Drill down to choose the scope.
     • IP space: Select an IP space from the drop-down list. Note that the IP space must have a subnet defined to create a host.
     • Next Available: This option is selected automatically. This field is available only if the parent address block exists. For more information, see Configuring Next Available Network. This is not applicable to IPv6.

   • NIOS-X Server.

   • Serial Number: Specify the serial number
   • Size: Choose one of the following:
     • Double Extra Small
     • Extra Small
     • Small
     • Medium
   • IP Space: Choose an IP Space from the drop-down. 
   • Location: Specify the location.
   • Tags: For information about tags, see Managing Tags.
     
3. Click Save & Close to save the details or click Cancel to exit.
