An address range is a pool of IP addresses from which BloxOne Universal DDI allocates IP addresses. You may add an address range in your subnet, so BloxOne Universal DDI can assign IP addresses to DHCP clients within the specified address range. The DHCP client can use the assigned IP address until the lease expires.

To view the list of address ranges, complete the following:

  1. From the Cloud Services Infoblox Portal, click Manage -Configure > Networking > IPAM/DHCP -> Address Spaces.

  2. Click IP Space -Space > Address Block > Address Block -> corresponding Subnet, and click the subnet link. It displays the list of address ranges that are associated with it.

  3. The application displays the following information for the address range:

To view DHCP information about the subnet, complete the following:

  1. From the Cloud Services Infoblox Portal, click Manage -Configure > Networking > IPAM/DHCP -> Address Spaces.

  2. Click IP Space -Space > Address Block -corresponding Subnet. It displays the list of address ranges that are associated with it.

  3. User the IPAM View slider to toggle to the DHCP View. The application displays the following information:

To view the lease usage and state of the address range in the visualization view, click the Visualization icon at the top navigation bar. The Cloud Services Infoblox Portal displays the following lease information:

  • Select/Deselect All: Click this check box to select all the following options or deselect all the options.
  • Abandoned: These are IP addresses that BloxOne Universal DDI cannot lease to any devices because a response is received when pinging the address.
  • DNS: These are IP addresses configured for DNS use.
  • Active Lease: These are IP addresses that are currently in use by a DHCP client.
  • Conflict (red): These are IP addresses that have either a MAC address conflict or a DHCP lease conflict detected through a network discovery.
  • Fixed Address (yellow): These are fixed addresses.
  • Network/Broadcast (grey): These are the network or broadcast addresses.
  • Used (blue): These addresses are currently in use.

You can also perform the following in this tab:

  • Click the menu button, to reorder the columns.
  • Click the menu button,  , then Edit or select the check box for the respective record and click the Editbutton to modify an address range.

  • Select an address range to view additional details. You can view additional information like start and end addresses, IP space, tags, and DHCP options. If you do not want to view the details in the right panel, click the information button, .

  • Click the utilization the utilization details button, , to view the address range utilization details or  click the tabular view button, , to view the details in a tabular format.

  • Enter the value that you want to search in the Search text box. BloxOne Universal DDI displays the list of items matching the keyword in the database. You can search by NameDescriptionTags (Tag key and/OR Tag value),  Start Address, End Address and Start Address - End Address. You cannot search by IPv4 Utilization.

  • Click the filter button, , to filter the objects by name and descriptionTo save a filter after selecting the required parameters click Save Filter, specify a name for the filter, and click Save. To reload a previously saved filter, click click the saved filters button, , and select the required filter. 
  • Click the menu button,   , then Move to Recycle Bin to move the object to the recycle bin. You can restore the object later or delete it permanently as required. For more information, see Recycle Bin.
  • The No Entry icon, , shows that the object is disabled for DHCP protocol.
