The Web Content Discovery Summary page provides insightful reports and tallies of all web categories detected on your network. To access the Summary page, go to Reports > Web Content Discovery > Summary. The following reports are available on the Summary page: 

  • HIGH RISK CATEGORIES: A list of the top web content  threat categories observed on your network. Click on any of the listed category entries to view the details about the specific high-risk category on the Categories page. Click View All to display the list on the Categories page. 
  • MOST POPULAR CATEGORIES: A list of the most popular web content categories observed on your network. Click on any of the listed category entries to view the details about the specific category on the Categories page. Click View All to display the list on the Categories page.
  • DEVICES ACCESSING HIGH-RISK DESTINATIONS: a list of devices accessing high risk destinations observed on your network. Click on any of the listed category entries to view the details about a specific device on the Devices page. Click View All to display the list in the Devices page.

Highest Risk and Popular Category Web Content on Your Network

The Web Content Discover Summary page banner provides a snapshot of the highest risk web content category and the most popular web content category being accessed on your network. This information is displayed along with the number of reported observations for each category. By clicking Top Risk Category, organizations can go directly to the malicious downloads report on the Categories page, where they can view detailed information about the top risk category web content being viewed on their network. Similarly, clicking Top Category will take organizations to the Categories page, where they can view detailed information about the top web content category viewed on their network. This information can then be used to better understand the web content activity on the network and take the necessary steps to protect the network from potential threats  (See Image 1).

In this example, Malicious Downloads is the most observed, top risk category observed on your network.  The Uncategorized category is the to web content category observed on your network. 

You can do the following on the Summary page:

Click  to view all background tasks currently being undertaken. 

Click  to perform a global search by inputting your search criteria in the search field located in the top-right quadrant of the page.

Click to refresh the data displayed on the page.

Click Show to select a time period for the displayed data records:

  • 1 hour
  • 24 hours
  • 48 hours 
  • 7 days
  • 1 month
  • Custom (limited to 30 days of data): When Custom is selected, the time/date object appears indicating the last 30 calendar days. Click on the time/date object to open the calendar object. On the calendar object, you can select custom filtering start and end dates and times.
