To deploy a vNIOS appliance on Azure public cloud from the Azure CLI, ensure that your setup meets the requirements listed in the Prerequisites section and then perform the following steps:
- Upload the vNIOS image on Azure public cloud as described in Uploading the vNIOS Image to Azure Public Cloud.
- Deploy the vNIOS instance using one of the following methods based on the NIOS version:
- From NIOS version 8.5.3 onwards: Deploying the NIOS Instance on a Managed Disk
- For NIOS versions prior to 9.0.1: Deploying the vNIOS Instance on an Unmanaged Disk
