Use access views to segregate divisional access control. Within your Infoblox Platform account, you can create access views that cater to your organizational requirements by providing tailored access for specific resources and users. For detailed information about access views, see About access views.

To create an access view, do the following:

  1. From the Infoblox Portal, click Configure > Administration > User Access.

  2. Click Access Views at the top Action bar, and then click Create Access View.

  3. In the Create Access View dialog, do the following:

    • Name: Enter the name of the access view you wish to add. To align your access view with the relevant user roles and user groups, it may be beneficial to include your division name in the access view name. Additionally, consider incorporating "admin" or "user" into your user group name to distinguish between different user groups. This best practice can help facilitate distinction between access views if you intend to create multiple access views in the future. Note that you cannot modify the name of the access view once you create it.

    • Description: Enter a description of this access view.

    • Tags: Click the down arrow and then Add to specify the keys to be associated with the host:

      • KEY: Enter a meaningful name for the key.

      • VALUE: Select the appropriate checkbox, and enter the value for the associated key. For details, see Managing tags.

  4. Click Save & Close to add the access view.
The access view will not be available immediately. Please allow approximately 10 minutes for the changes to propagate through the system.

Once an access view is created, you cannot delete it.
