To upgrade NIOS, perform the following steps:

  1. Download the new upgrade software.

  2. Upload the upgrade software to the Grid Master.

  3. Distribute the software upgrade files.

  4. Apply the 9.0.4.2 CHF2 hotfix.

  5. Test the upgrade.

  6. Perform the actual upgrade.
