Uninstalling Infoblox IPAM Plug-In for VMware

This topic describes how to manually uninstall the Infoblox IPAM Plug-In for VMware from VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator.

Uninstalling the Plug-In from VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator

Note

Procedure detailed in this topic may vary depending on the version of VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator that you are using. For version-specific instructions, refer to the VMware documentation links listed in the Resources section.

To uninstall the Infoblox IPAM Plug-In for VMware from VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator on Linux, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to the VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator Control Center.
  2. Disable and delete the IPAM Plug-In for VMware as follows:
    1. In the Plug-ins section, click Manage Plug-Ins.
    2. Locate the InfobloxIPAM entry and click the Enable plug-in toggle button to disable it.
    3. When prompted, click Save changes.
    4. in the InfobloxIPAM row, click the Delete icon.
    5. When prompted to confirm, click Delete to remove the plug-in.
  3. Log in to the VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator Linux appliance.
  4. Remove the Infoblox IPAM Plug-In for VMware version data from the /data/vco/usr/lib/vco/app-server/conf/plugins/_VSOPluginInstallationVersion.xml file by deleting the line that starts with <entry key="Infoblox IPAM">.
    Note: Sometimes, the “Infoblox IPAM” entry may not be available in the _VSOPluginInstallationVersion.xml file. If so, skip this step and proceed to the next step.

    To delete:

    1. Press dd

    2. Press Shift+q.

    3. Enter wq to save your changes.

  5. Log in to the VMware Aria Automation Cloud Services Console.
  6. On the Services tab, click Orchestrator.
  7. Remove the Infoblox IPAM Plug-in packages as follows:
    1. In the Dashboard panel on the left, click the AssetsPackages tab.
    2. In the Filter... field, use the keyword Infoblox to search for the Infoblox plug-in package.
    3. Delete the com.infoblox.ipam package as follows:

      1. From the Actions drop-down list, choose Delete.

      2. In the Confirm Delete window, select Delete the package and its content but keep any shared items.

      3. Click Delete.

Uninstalling the Plug-In from VMware Aria Automation Assembler

To uninstall the Infoblox IPAM Plug-In for VMware from VMware Aria Automation Assembler, you must delete the IPAM integration.

Note

Before deleting an integration, ensure that there are no active network endpoints. To check, in VMware Aria Automation Assembler, go to Infrastructure tab-> Resources -> Networks -> IP addresses tab.

To uninstall:

  1. Log in to the VMware Aria ‌Automation Cloud Services Console.
  2. Click Assembler to launch the VMware Aria Automation Assembler.
  3. On the Infrastructure tab, navigation to Connections -> Integrations.
    The Integrations page is displayed.
  4. On the IPAM integration, click OPEN.
  5. Click DELETE.
  6. When prompted, confirm the deletion.
