Creating Active Directory Credentials

Before synchronizing Microsoft Active Directory (MS AD) DNS data with Universal DDI, you must create AD credentials in Universal DDI. This allows Universal DDI to access AD DNS data, and vice versa.

Specify the credentials that have permissions to make a Microsoft RPC request.

To create credentials, do the following:

  1. Go to Admin > Credentials.

  2. Click Create > Microsoft Active Directory.

  3. Do the following:

    • Name: Create a name.

    • Description: Create a description.

    • Tags: Click Add, and specify a key and a value.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Do the following in the Credentials pane:

    • Domain\User Name: Specify the domain and the user name for the AD server.

    • Password: Specify the password for the AD server.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Click Save & Close.
