Supported vNIOS for Azure Appliances

This topic lists the details of supported vNIOS appliances that can be deployed in public Azure clouds and in Azure Stack Hub.
Note
For the new vNIOS for Azure models supported from NIOS 9.0.1 onwards, Infoblox recommends that you use SSDs for storage for better performance. See the tables in this topic for supported models.
If a Trinzic X5 vNIOS instance is running on a NIOS version prior to 9.0.1, the overall disk size will be set to 250 GB.
vNIOS Appliances for Azure Public Cloud
To achieve an optimum performance, you must select the disk type (sku) of a vNIOS instance as Premium LRS.
Trinzic Appliances
The below table lists the models of vNIOS for Azure appliances supported in NIOS 9.0.1 and later. These models support the cloud platform feature. To use the feature, you must install the Cloud Platform license. For more information, refer to the Managing Licenses in NIOS 9.0.1 topic in the Infoblox NIOS Documentation.

Infoblox recommends that you allocate a minimum of 250 GB of additional disk space for reporting storage requirements.
Note
Infoblox supports only DS type of VM sizes and recommends that you choose only those sizes for your reporting vNIOS instances.
The below mentioned vNIOS appliances running on NIOS 9.0.5 or later support the following features:
Virtual DNS Cache Acceleration: IB-V2225, IB-V4015, IB-V4025, IB-V2326, IB-V4126, and IB-FLEX appliances.
Virtual Advanced DNS Protection and dnstap: All supported Trinzic X5, Trinzic X6, and IB-FLEX appliances.
