To deploy BloxOne Endpoint on multiple Apple devices using ARD, complete the following:

  1. In the Cloud Services Portal, click Administration -> Downloads.
  2. On the Downloads page, click Download Mac Client Installer Package to download the latest version of Endpoint on the supported Apple server that you plan to use for the BloxOne Endpoint deployment.
  3. Install ARD on the Apple server that you plan to use for the BloxOne Endpoint deployment.
  4. Open the ARD, navigate to Scanner in the left panel, and then select Local Network from the menu.
  5. In the right panel, select all the client devices on which you want to deploy Endpoint.
  6. Click the Copy icon at the top of the ARD to copy the customer_id.txt file to the client devices.

  7. You can also configure endpoint_group.txt and systray_icon.txt along with customer_id.txt. The customer_id.txt is mandatory. However, endpoint_group.txt and systray_icon.txt are optional. If you want to configure endpoint_group.txt and systray_icon.txt, you will need to copy the files similar to customer_id.txt.
  8. In the Copy Items dialog, complete the following, and then click Copy:
Ensure that all the devices have the “Available” status. If any of the selected client devices are not available, you can run Scanner again to search for the devices.
In the Item to copy list, select the customer_id.txt file.
In the Place items in field, enter /Library/Application Support/Infoblox/BloxOne Endpoint.
  9. After the copying is complete and successful, click the Install icon at the top of the ARD to install the Endpoint package.
  10. In the Install Packages dialog, complete the following, and then click Install Packages: Select the Endpoint package.
Keep all the default options selected unless you need to make specific changes based on your business needs.
Endpoint is automatically installed on the client devices. It might take up to a few minutes for the installation to complete.
