Adding NIOS Reporting as Destination

On NIOS 8.5.0 or higher, you can deploy multiple Data Connectors to balance the load and optimize data transfers to Infoblox NIOS Reporting. To configure NIOS Reporting as a destination in the Infoblox Portal, do the following:

1. Log in to the Infoblox Portal.

2. Click Configure > Integrations > Data Connector.

3. On the Destination Configuration tab, from the Create drop-down list, choose NIOS Reporting.

4. In the Create Splunk Destination Configuration screen, do the following:

  • Name: Provide a name that will distinguish this destination from others.
  • Description: Provide a description that does not exceed 256 characters.
  • State: Use the slider to enable or disable the destination’s configuration, which will be in effect only after you enable it; if you disable it, you will not be able to select this destination when you create a traffic flow.
  • Tags: Click Add and specify the following to associate a key with the destination:

    • KEY: Enter a meaningful name for the key, such as a location or department.  

    • VALUE: Enter a value for the key. For details, see Managing Tags.

5. In the NIOS Grid Master Details section, do the following:

  • FQDN/IP: Enter the FQDN or the IP address of the Grid Master.
  • Reporting Appliance Address: Enter the IP address of the NIOS Reporting server.
  • User Name: Enter the username for the Grid Master. The Data Connector will use this entry to access the appliance.
  • Password: Enter the password for the Grid Master. Data Connector will use this entry to access the appliance.

6. Click Save & Close.
