The Web Content Discovery: Categories page, accessed through Reports > Web Content Discovery > Categories, provides organizations with a comprehensive look at all categories of web content detected on their networks. This page allows organizations to sort and filter the content categories, view the risk level, number of observations, and observed duration for each category. Organizations can also drill down into a specific category to view more in-depth information, such as the devices accessing the content, the associated risk level, and any other relevant information. By using this page, organizations can gain a deeper understanding of the web content activity on their networks and take the steps necessary to protect their networks from potential threats.

On the Categories page, you can sort and filter the categories of web content according to the following attributes:

  • CATEGORY: The category of the web content type.
  • SUB-CATEGORY: The subcategory of a web content type residing within the main category.
  • REQUESTS: The number of requests that are associated with a web category and that have been made on your network since they were detected for the first time.
  • DEVICES: The number of devices associated with a web category. To view a list of devices associated with a category, click the embedded link in the Devices column.
