A bypass code allows a network administrator to grant temporary access to restricted domains and web-based content by overriding enabled content filters. When an end-user receives a blocked DNS query, a bypass code can be requested from the network administrator, granting access to the otherwise blocked content. Access to the blocked domain can only be obtained if the end-user can supply the required bypass code to access the restricted content.
Bypass codes can be created for category filters, custom lists, and Feeds and Threat insight. Once a bypass code has been created, it can be applied to a security policy. For more information on bypass codes, see the following:
