Before enabling the NIOS Grid Connector service, you must establish connectivity between NIOS and the Cloud Services Portal.

Important Note

Ensure that you prepare your environment and open all necessary ports for unrestricted connectivity between NIOS and the Cloud Services Portal. For more information, see BloxOne Connectivity and Service Requirements

To establish connectivity between the Cloud Services Portal and NIOS, complete the following:

  1. Create a Join Token in the Cloud Services Portal or use an existing one. For more information, see Configuring Join Tokens.
  2. Copy the Join Token from the Cloud Services Portal.
  3. Sign in to NIOS.
  4. Navigate to the Grid > Grid Manager
  5. Select a single device in NIOS. This device must be a Grid Manager, Grid Manager Candidate, or Standalone appliance. It is recommended to select the Grid Manager Candidate.

  6. Click Edit
  7. Click CSP Config.
  8. Configure the following in the Basic tab.
    1. Join Token: Paste the Join Token you copied from the Cloud Services Portal here.
    2. CSP Resolver: Specify the IP address of the Cloud Services Portal.
    3. HTTPs Proxy: Specify the HTTPS proxy. If your network environment does not allow direct HTTP or HTTPS communication with the Internet through a firewall from a secure location in which the Grid Manager or standalone appliance resides, you can configure your appliance to use a proxy server. For more information, see Configuring Proxy Servers.
    4. Click Save & Close.
  9. From the Cloud Services Portal, click Manage -> Infrastructure to enable the NIOS Grid Connector service. Note that the Grid Manager, Grid Manager Candidate, and standalone members from the NIOS Grid appear on the  Hosts page.

Before enabling the NIOS Grid Connector service, you must establish connectivity between NIOS and the Cloud Services Portal.

Note

Configure CSP Config settings in Grid Member Properties tab in Grid Manager for the Grid Manager, Grid Manager Candidate, or Standalone appliance to show the particular device on the Manage > Infrastructure page in Cloud Services Portal.

Do not configure CSP Config settings in the Grid Properties tab. Configuring CSP Config settings in the Grid Properties tab shows all the devices in the entire grid on the Manage > Infrastructure page in the Cloud Services Portal.

Important Note

Ensure that you prepare your environment and open all necessary ports for unrestricted connectivity between NIOS and the Cloud Services Portal. For more information, see BloxOne Connectivity and Service Requirements
