Adding General Service Information

In the Create Service wizard, complete the General Info step:

1. Name (required field): Provide a name for the service instance.

2. Description: Provide a description for the service instance.

3. Service state: Toggle the switch to the right to start the service. Toggle the switch to the left to stop the service. 

4. Host (required field): To select a host, complete the following:

   1. Click Select Host  to choose a host from the drop-down list. Only available host are listed. ou can use the search tool to quickly locate and select a host.

   2. Click Select to add the host to the configuration. 

   3. To remove a host from the service configuration click located next to the name of the host.

5. Tags: To add a tag or tags to a host, complete the following:

   1. Click to open the tags section of the wizard page..

   2. Click Add to open a tag to open a tag dialogue and add the following information:

      1. KEY: in the text field, add the tag's key information.

      2. VALUE: In the text field, add the tag's value information.     

6. Click Next to proceed to the Interface Binding step. Note that all required information must be added prior to proceeding to the next step. If any required information fields are left empty on the General Info page, you will see the following:

If you must change any information, click Back to return to the previous configuration wizard page, or click Cancel to exit the wizard without saving any configuration changes. If you have complete all edits and configuration, click Finish.
