You can disable failover configuration on NetMRI standalone system, OC, and OC collector using the Disable option.

The released appliances are managed as follows:

  • When you disable the OC failover configuration, you can run the reset tunserver and register tunserver commands on OC, and then re-register all collectors with OC MGMT IP address.
  • When you disable the collector failover configuration, you can re-register all collectors using the MGMT IP address.

When you disable the failover configuration, the virtual IP address goes down and both the appliances are available with the MGMT IP addresses. The primary appliance retains the primary role and can start working as a standalone appliance after rebooting the system. The secondary appliance will be in the suspended mode and continue to stay in this mode even after rebooting the system.

To disable the standalone failover configuration:

  1. Go to the Settings icon > Setup > Failover Configuration tab.
  2. On the Failover Configuration page, click Disable.

The failover configuration status changes to OFF.

To disable the OC and OC Collector failover configuration:

  1. Go to the Settings icon > Setup > Failover Configuration tab.
  2. Click the Action icon for the failover configuration you want to disable and then click Edit > Disable.

The failover configuration status changes to OFF.

To disable failover using the NetMRI administrative shell, run the following command:

  1. Log in to the administrative shell as admin.
  2. Enter the failover disable command, and then press Enter.
