You can control user access to the Cloud Services Portal and associated functionality by enabling restricted IP addresses for selected user groups. For example, if only certain administrators in a specific physical location are allowed access to Cloud Services Portal, you can first create a user group for these administrators. You then add the allowed source IP address ranges within which these administrators are allowed access. Finally, you enable this restriction for the specified user group.

When you enable restricted IP addresses for a user group, all users in the group are allowed access to the Cloud Services Portal and associated functionality only when the users' assigned IP addresses are within the allowed ranges. They will not have access to Cloud Services Portal functionality if they log in using IP addresses outside the allowed IP ranges.

Configuring Allowed IP Ranges

To configure allowed IP address ranges for user groups, complete the following:

  1. From the Cloud Services Portal, click Administration > User Access.

  2. Click User Groups at the top action bar.

  3. Choose the user group you wish to restrict access from the list of user groups.

  4. Click the

Users in this user group who try to access using IP addresses outside of this range will not have access to this specific group's Cloud Services Portal functionality when they log in.
