Hosts, which are formerly referred to as on-prem hosts, are physical or virtual appliances on which you run BloxOne services based on according to your license entitlements. Note that “host” is formerly referred to as “on-prem host.” Depending on your network infrastructure and how you want to implement hosts, you can deploy a host them by using Infoblox-provided hardware and OVA packages or via a bare-metal deployment and other supported open platforms. To ensure a successful deployment of a host deployment, review the system requirements and set up your environment accordingly. For more information, see according to the BloxOne Connectivity and Service Requirements.

On the The Hosts page , of the Cloud Services Portal displays the following information, for all deployed hosts, so you can monitor them at a glance.:

Description

Name

The host host’s name.

Host Status

The current host status. You might see one of the following valueshost’s status:

  • Online: The host is online, and both the platform and all application management are running properly.

  • Degraded: Either the platform or application-management status is in error when something it is not functioning properly.

  • Error: If any Any of the platform and or application-management apps is applications are not functioning properly.

You can expand the panel and view detailed information about the errors. For more information, see Viewing Detailed Host Information.

Host Type

The type of host. This field displays one of the followinghost’s type

  • BloxOne Appliance

  • BloxOne Container

  • BloxOne VM

  • CNIOS

  • NIOS

  • NIOS HA

  • Not Available.

For example, if your host is a physical appliance, the host then its type is is BloxOne Appliance, the bare-metal container is is BloxOne Container, and the bare OVA VM is is BloxOne VM.

Note that there are subtypes for BloxOne Appliance and BloxOne VM. When you use filters to locate specific on-prem hosts, you can select the following subtypes for :

  • For BloxOne Appliance:

 
  • All Appliance Types,

 
  • B105, VEP1425,

and VEP1485

Version #

The version of the platform version that is currently running on the host.

Serial Number

The serial number of the appliance (physical or virtual).

Options

Click the Options menu and choose to perform an option. You can The option to apply the host host’s configuration immediately, view host the host’s information, edit host the host’s configuration, or copy the API access key. You can also Also use this feature to refresh the host host’s status , or to disconnect, replace, remove, or troubleshoot the host.

Expand/Collapse

Click (blue star) to expand the panel to view and see detailed information about the host. For more information, see Viewing Host Information.
