  1. In the Cloud Services Portal, click Manage -> IPAM/DHCP -> Address Spaces.

  2. Click IP Space -> Address Block -> corresponding IPv4 Subnet or IPv6 Subnet.

  3. On the Subnet page, click the Create drop-down list -> Fixed Address.

  4. On the Create Fixed Address page, specify the following:

    • IP Space: The respective IP space is automatically selected, in which the fixed address exists.
    • Subnet: The respective subnet is automatically selected.
    • IP Address: Enter an IPv4 address to be used as a fixed address. Or click the Get next available checkbox to automatically receive the next available IP address from the respective subnet. The next available IP address appears automatically after you click Save & Close. The Get next available checkbox is not applicable to IPv6.
    • Assign by: Indicates how the client must be matched. For client and relay formats, you can specify the value in hexadecimal or text format. 
    • For IPv4 networks:
      • Client (hex): Select this option from the drop-down list to assign a dynamic IP address to a host with the same DHCP client identifier that you specify here. The client identifier for the requesting host and the client identifier stored in BloxOne DDI must match.
      • Client (text): Select this option from the drop-down list to assign a dynamic IP address to a host with the same DHCP client identifier that you specify here. The client identifier for the requesting host and the client identifier stored in BloxOne DDI must match.
      • MAC Address: Select this option from the drop-down list to assign a dynamic IP address to a host, provided that the MAC address of the requesting host matches the MAC address that you specify here.
      • Relay (hex): Select this option from the drop-down list to match the circuit ID or remote ID in the DHCP relay agent option (82). You can enter the ID in hexadecimal format, such as aa, ab, 1f:cd, ef:23:56, ef-23-56, or ef2356.
      • Relay (text): Select this option from the drop-down list to match the circuit ID or remote ID in the DHCP relay agent option (82). You can enter the ID in string format, such as abcd or aa:gg. 
    • For IPv6 networks:
      • MAC Address: Select this option from the drop-down list to assign a dynamic IP address to a host, provided that the MAC address of the requesting host matches the MAC address that you specify here.
      • DUID: Select this option from the drop-down list to assign a DUID to a host.
    • Client/MAC Address/Relay: Depending on what you choose in the Assign by drop-down menu, this field will change accordingly. If you choose Client (hex) or Client (text), enter a valid client identifier. If you choose MAC address, enter a valid MAC address. If you choose Relay (hex) or Relay (text), enter a valid relay agent circuit ID. This is not applicable to IPv6.

    • Name: Enter a name for the fixed address (recommended).

    • Description: Enter additional information about the fixed address (optional).

    • Disable for DHCP Protocol: Select the check box to stop the DHCP server from offering this address. 
    • Tags: Assign tags to single or multiple fixed addresses. The tags assigned to IP addresses and their fixed addresses are now synced with each other. For information about tags, see /wiki/spaces/BloxOneCloudDraft/pages/9537990.

    • DHCP Configuration: Configure the following DHCP Options:
      • Type: Choose Option Space or Option Group
      • Space: Choose the space.
      • Name: Choose the name.
      • Option Type: Option Type is shown automatically. 
      • Value: Specify the value. 
      • Inherited From: Shows the parent.
        Select the Block all inherited options checkbox if you want to block all the options inherited from the parent. 
  5. Click Save & Close to save the fixed address, or click Cancel to exit.
