You must select different hosts for an HA group. - A host must use only one IP space.
A host associated with an HA group cannot be associated with another in Active/Active and Active/Passive mode. - A host can be associated with multiple HA groups in Advanced Active/Passive mode.
A host should not have subnets or ranges associated with it. - The hosts (Node 1 and 2) must be able to communicate with each other on the specified ports. Any firewall settings must allow traffic on the specified ports.

To configure High Availability for DHCP, complete the following:
- Create an HA Group: Create an HA group and add two existing Hosts to the group. This creates an HA pair. For information on creating an HA Group, see Configuring HA Groups.
- Create an IP Space: Go to Manage -> IPAM/DHCP -> Address Spaces. Click Create -> IP Space. Configure the settings and click Save and Close. For information on creating an address space, see Configuring IP Spaces.
- Create a Subnet and Assign the HA Group to the Subnet: Go to Manage -> IPAM/DHCP -> Address Spaces. Click Create -> Subnet. Select the newly created IP Space for IP Space and the HA Group for Host. Click Save and Close. For information about creating a subnet, see Configuring Subnets.
The HA with two Hosts is now complete.
