To run a simple DNS query from the Cloud Services Infoblox Portal, complete the following:
From the Cloud Services Infoblox Portal, click click Configure > Networking > DNS > DNS Servers.
Click and select Troubleshoot > DNS Query Results for a single DNS server.
Configure the following:
Type: Choose the record type.
Nameserver: Specify the IPv4, IPv6, or FQDN.
Host NIOS-X Server name: Specify the host NIOS-X Server name.
Select one of the following options:
vc (enables the TCP mode)
short (disables everything except the short forms of answers)
trace (traces all the delegations from the root)
dnssec (requests the server to send DNSSEC code)
norecurse (disables the recursive mode)
nssearch (searches all the authoritative name servers)
cdflag (requests the server not to perform a DNSSEC validation)
multiline (displays records in multiple lines).
Click the Execute button.

From the Cloud Services Infoblox Portal, click click Configure > Networking > DNS > DNS Servers.
Click and select Troubleshoot > DNS Query Results for a single DNS server.
Click Advanced.
Specify the command in the Dig command field and click Execute.
