Infoblox BloxOne Platform provides a monitoring feature you can use to integrate with your monitoring tools to obtain host NIOS-X server metrics directly from the hosts NIOS-X servers themselves. When you set up a monitoring configuration, BloxOne Infoblox Platform uses APIs on the associated hostsNIOS-X servers, so your monitoring tools can query host NIOS-X server metrics via TCP ports 443 and 8443, based on the configured authentication method. For example, host NIOS-X server metrics such as onprem_host_last_disconnected_timestamp in Epoch time (in seconds) is helpful to know in case the host NIOS-X server is disconnected from the cloud network. A value of '0' indicates the host NIOS-X server is connected. Note that host NIOS-X server metrics will be served on port 8443 only when you have enabled the remote access VPN application. In this case, port 443 will not be available.
To integrate the monitoring feature with your tools, you first set up a monitoring configuration, and then apply it to selected hostsNIOS-X servers. You can choose a desired authentication method when setting up the configuration. You can create multiple configurations and apply them to selected hostsNIOS-X servers. When you enable the Apply to New HostsServers option, the configuration becomes the default, and all newly created hosts NIOS-X servers will automatically inherit the monitoring configuration.
Only one default monitoring configuration can be used at any given time. If you set up another monitoring configuration and select the Apply to New HostsServers option, the new configuration becomes the default for all newly created hostsNIOS-X servers, and the previous default configuration will be disabled.

With this release, you can obtain the following host NIOS-X server metrics when you enable a monitoring configuration on the hostNIOS-X server:

Port metrics
Protocol metrics
The BloxOne Infoblox Platform monitoring feature also supports the following for metrics endpoints:
Metrics endpoints are exposed to your monitoring tools

The Manage Configure > Infrastructure Administration > MonitoringServer Metrics Connector page provides a card view and a table view for displaying information. You can toggle between the card and table view by clicking the icon on the upper right corner of the navigation bar.

Perform a local search to view monitoring configurations based on your filtering criteria; and you can page through the results. BloxOne Infoblox Platform supports the following field for local search on the Monitoring page: Name.
Click the … icon next to a configuration and choose one of the following:
General Information: View general information of the monitoring configuration, as describe described in Viewing General Monitoring Information.
Edit: Edit the respective configuration card, as described in Editing Monitoring Configuration.
Remove: Choose this to remove the respective configuration. Click Delete in the confirmation dialog to confirm the removal. For information, see Removing Monitoring Configuration.
Refresh Status: Refresh the status of the configuration.
