Step 1: Download the MDM Config File from the Cloud Services Portal
An app-config file is required to update an app’s configuration in MDM. To download the file, do the following:
- Log in to csp.infoblox.com.
- Navigate to Manage > Endpoints > Endpoint Groups.
- Click Download MDM Configuration, and select iOS Config File or Android Config File, depending on the device.

To assign an endpoint to a specific endpoint group, click next to the name of the endpoint group and select Download MDM Configuration > Android or iOS Config File.

4. Save the downloaded config file to a directory where it can be located easily.
The app config contains the following parameters:
- joinToken: The value in the XML file.
- groupName: In the Cloud Services Portal, the name of the group to which the endpoint will be moved. If the name is not present in the Cloud Services Portal, it will be added to the All BloxOne Endpoints group.
- userId: The unique name that identifies a mobile device. The configured name is displayed in the Cloud Services Portal, on the Manage > Endpoints page.
- allowServiceControl: By default, this value will be True. To disallow and hide service control, use the toggle switch to change this value to False.
Step 2: Register a Mobile Endpoint with the VMWare Workspace One Server
- Install the Intelligent Hub app from the Google Play store or the Apple App store, depending on the device.
- Log in to the Intelligent Hub with the credentials provided by your admin.
- Follow the instructions to register your device with the Workspace One server.
Step 3: Install the BloxOne App on a device
Install the BloxOne App on an iOS device
- Log in to the Workspace One UEM console.
- Go to Apps & Books > Applications > Native > Public.
- Click +Add Application.

4.For the platform, select Apple iOS.
5. Search for BloxOne EP, and click Next.

6. Once the BloxOne EP app is listed, click Select.

7. Click Save and Assign.
8. In the app assignment window, specify the details and select App Delivery Method as per the requirements.

9. In the Application Configuration tab, toggle the Send Configuration switch to the ON position.

10. Upload the app-config file you downloaded from the Cloud Services Portal.
11. Click UPLOAD XML, and select the file.

12. The file will be similar to that displayed in Image 9. userIdand groupNamecan be modified.
Note
BloxOne Endpoint version iOS 2.0.7 and above uses a joinToken instead of customerId for authorization. For existing devices with older versions of the app, the update to the latest version is automatic. For fresh installations on new devices, the joinToken should be updated in the configuration settings.

13. Click Create.
14. Click Save.

15. Click publish.

The assignment will be pushed to the device. If it is not pushed in the same screen, then select Devices > select the device > Install.

After a few minutes, the endpoint will be automatically installed on the client devices.
16. Open the BloxOne EP app on the iOS device, and accept the VPN acknowledgement. After a few seconds, the app will be in protected state.

Install the BloxOne App on an Android Device
- Log in to the Workspace One UEM console.
- Go to Apps & Books > Applications > Native > Public.
- Click +Add Application.

4. For the platform, select Android.
5. Search for BloxOne EP, and click Next.

6. Click Approve > Select.

7. Click Save > Assign.
8. In the app assignment window, specify the details and select App Delivery Method as per the requirements.

9. In the Application Configuration tab, toggle the Send Configuration switch to the ON position.

The display will show the required config parameters for the app.
Note
- BloxOne Endpoint Android version 1.0.9 and below requires the customerId attribute value in the app configuration.
- BloxOne Endpoint Android version 1.0.10 and above uses joinToken instead of customerId for authorization. For fresh installations on new devices, the joinToken should be updated in the app configuration settings.
- The customerId attribute will be removed from future versions of the app. You may need to maintain both customerId and joinToken in the app configuration until such time all devices are update to 1.0.10 or above.

10. In the information fields, specify the config data from the config file you downloaded from the Cloud Services Portal.

11. Click Create.
12. Click Save.

13. Click Publish.

The assignment will be pushed to the device. If it is not pushed in the same screen, then it can be pushed from Devices > select the device > Install.

14. Open the BloxOne EP app from the work profile on the Android device, and accept the VPN acknowledgement. After a few seconds, the app will be in a protected state.
