Configuring General Service Information
In the General Info step of the Create <Service> wizard, specify the following:
  • Name (required field): Provide a name for the service instance.

  • Description: Provide a description for the service instance.

  • Service state: Set the toggle switch to start or stop the service.

  • Server (required field): Do the following to select a NIOS-X server on which you want to run this service:

    1. Click Select Server and choose a server from the drop-down list. Only available NIOS-X servers are listed. Alternatively, use the Search tool to locate and select a server.

    2. Click Select to add the server to the configuration, . 

The server status may momentarily change to “Degraded” when a new service is added to the server. You can reassign the service to another server if the need arises in the future.

  • Tags: To add one or more tags to a service, do the following:

    • Expand the tab to open the Tags section.

    • Click Add to open a tag to open a row, and add the following information:

      • KEY: Add the key for the tag.

      • VALUE: Add the key’s value.   

For information about tags, see Managing Tags.

Ensure that all required information is provided, and click Next to proceed to the next step. If any required information is left empty, an error icon will appear next to the page. To complete the missing information, click Back. To exit without saving the configuration, click Cancel. If you have completed all edits and configuration, click Finish.
