Configuring NIOS

Assuming that the NIOS grid master has multiple members created in it, each member can be configured to send the DNS Query/Response logs and/or RPZ Logs to required data connector hosts.

Note

An RO user permission is required to receive data from NIOS in the form of DNS Query/Response logs or as RPZ logs, or to receive IPAM meta data.

Configuring DNS Query and Response

To configure DNS Query and Response, perform the following:

  1. From the NIOS, click Data Management -> DNS.
  2. On the DNS screen, select the member to be configured and click Edit.
  3. Click Logging -> Advanced.
  4. Update the data connector host IP address and the scp username password provided while configuring the NIOS Source.
  5. Do the same to all the required members by editing and updating the respective data connector hosts to which the logs will be sent.
