Prerequisites for Deploying Endpoint on a Linux Client System
To install the Infoblox BloxOne Linux client, the following is required:
- Ubuntu OS VERSION=“22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish)” and above
Limitations
BloxOne Endpoint for Linux is not compatible with VPNs.
Installing Infoblox Endpoint Linux Client Application
To install InfoBlox ndpoint on a Linux Client application, perform the following steps:
- To download the Linux BloxOne Endpoint zip file navigate to the downloads page (Administration > Downloads). Click Download Linux Endpoint Client.
- Unzip the downloaded file and run the installer.sh file.
- Install BloxOne Endpoint using the command sudo sh installer.sh.
- After the successful Installation we can see the BloxOne Endpoint icon. All the related files will be extracted in /usr/local/b1e
- To learn the status of BloxOne Endpoint, click on the icon followed by clicking the status tab.
- The system tray icon should be visible and the status should be protected with active network.
Downloading and Viewing BloxOne Endpoint Logs
To download and view BloxOne Endpoint logs, click on the BloxOne Endpoint icon followed by clicking the Troubleshoot tab. In the Troubleshoot tab, click Download Logs.
Start/Stop the Service for Endpoint on a Linux Client Application
To start or stop endpoint service on Linux, do the following:
Start service
Use the following command to start the endpoint service:
sudo systemctl start b1endpointapp.service
Stop service
Use the following command to sop the endpoint service:
sudo systemctl stop b1endpointapp.service
Uninstalling BloxOne Endpoint on Linux Client Application
To uninstall BloxOne Endpoint on Linux, do the following:

Use the following command to uninstall endpoint from the system:
sudo sh uinstall.sh
sudo sh uinstall.sh
