The BloxOne location feature utilizes the geocode system to identify the location of a host. You can create a location profile and associate it with a host or multiple hosts, so you can later identify the exact host location. This feature is also useful when you want to group multiple hosts by a geocoded addres and be able to later identify the hosts by their location. For example, if you have deployed eight hosts at the same office or branch and would like to identify them by location, you can use the location feature to accomplish the task.

When you set up a location profile and associate it with multiple hosts, you can view the host location in the map view of the Manage > Infrastructure > Hosts page. All hosts appear on the world map with their exact latitude and longitude coordinates. On the map, you can also mouse over a specific location to view detail information about the location. For more information, see Configuring Hosts.

Note that you can remove a location profile only when you have removed the association on all affected hosts. You can then remove the location profile from the system. For information, see Removing Location Profiles.

All tasks you perform for the location feature are recorded in the audit log. For information, see Viewing Audit Logs.
