This feature is exclusively available to participants in the Early Access Program (EAP). For information about the EAP, visit Infoblox Early Access Program. If you are not part of the EAP, you may not be able to access this feature. Infoblox consistently updates our documentation as we add new features to the EAP.

Configure the following in the General pane:

  • State: Toggle Enabled (green) or Disabled (red). By default, Azure discovery is Enabled.

  • Name: Specify a name for the network discovery configuration.

  • Description: Specify a description for the network discovery configuration.

  • Sync Interval (min): Specify the sync interval, in minutes. If you have a large amount of data, it is recommended you set the sync interval as 3 hours. Alternatively, you can choose Auto and the system will automatically choose the interval.

  • Account Preference: Choose Single to discover objects from a single account. Choose Auto-Discover Multiple to discover objects from multiple accounts. For more information, see Azure Configuration for Multi-subscription Discovery.

  • Type of Access: Choose the type of access, whether using Client ID + Tenant ID or Static Credential. For more information, see Creating Azure Client ID.

  • Credentials: The credentials can be specified based on the following selection for Type of Access:

    • Client ID + Tenant ID: If you have selected this option, specify the following:

      • Subscription ID: Specify the Subscription ID for Azure.

      • Client ID: Specify the Client ID for Azure.

    • Static Credentials: If you have selected this option, choose the credentials to be used to connect to Azure. Alternatively, click Create New Credentials to create new credentials and configure the following:

      • Name: Specify a name.

      • Description: Specify a description. Click Next.

      • Configure the following settings in the Microsoft Azure Credentials Credentials screen:

        • Tenant ID: Specify the Tenant ID.

        • Client ID: Specify the Client ID for Azure.

        • Client Secret: Specify the Client Secret for Azure.

      • Click Save after creating new credentials.

      • Subscription ID: If you have selected Static Credentials, provide the Subscription ID for Azure.

  • Allow Account Exclusion: To exclude accounts or sub-accounts, toggle the option to Enabled. Select the subscriptions to be excluded and move them from INCLUDED to EXCLUDED. This option is available if the Account Preference is configured as Auto-Discover Multiple.

  • Click Next.
