Prerequisites

Before you set up the B1-105 appliance, you must provision the appliance and obtain the API Access Key through the Cloud Services Portal.

Provisioning the B1-105 Appliance

To provision the B1-105, complete the following:

1. Access the Cloud Services Portal
2. Go to Manage -> On-Prem Hosts
3. Click Create On-Prem Host to create a host.
4. Provision the new B1-105 on-prem host and copy the API Access Key.

Best Practices for Setting Up B1-105

Consider the following when setting up your B1-105 appliance:

• If you plan to configure the on-prem appliance using a static IP, obtain the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and other DNS information.

• Ensure that you follow the port usage below for proper connections.
