Configuring NIOS DNS Query Response

Configuring NIOS

  • Each member of NIOS Grid Master can be configured to send the DNS Query/Response logs and/or RPZ logs to specific Data Connector servers.
  • To receive data from NIOS as DNS Query/Response logs or RPZ logs, or to receive IPAM metadata, you must have an RO user permission.

Configuring DNS Query and Response

To configure DNS Query/Response, do the following:

  1. In NIOS, click Data Management > DNS.
  2. On the DNS screen, select the member to be configured. Click Edit.
  3. Click Logging > Advanced.
  4. Update the Data Connector server’s IP address and the SCP username password provided while you were configuring the NIOS source.
  5. Repeat this procedure to configure all members and to update the Data Connector servers to which the logs will be sent.
