Viewing Background Tasks

Universal DDI provides the ability to view tasks that run in the background. You can view the entire list of tasks, clear the task from the list, or edit the tasks.

The following diagram explains the background tasks in brief:

The following background tasks can be viewed:

• Single copy for IPAM and DNS objects.
• Bulk copy for IPAM and DNS objects.

To view the background tasks, complete the following:

1. Click the icon at the top-right corner of the page. A list of background tasks is shown.
2. Perform the following actions based on the status of the task:
   • In progress: This task is shown in blue. Click the ... (dots) next to the task and select Cancel to cancel the task.
   • Succeeded: This task is shown in green. This task has the following three options:
     • View Result: Choose this option to view the result of the completed task.
     • Edit: Choose this option to go to the edit dialog of the result. 
     • Clear from list: Choose this option to clear the task from the list.
   • Failed: This task is shown in red. Click Clear from list to clear the task from the list. 
   • Canceled: This task is shown in grey.  Click Clear from list to clear the task from the list.
