Modifying DHCP Fingerprints

You can modify pre-defined and custom DHCP fingerprints. Note that the appliance periodically updates the cached DHCP fingerprints. When you modify a DHCP fingerprint, you do not need to restart services but it may take up to two minutes before the appliance updates the DHCP fingerprint.
To modify a custom DHCP fingerprint:

  1. From the Infoblox Portal, click Configure > Networking > IPAM/DHCP > DHCP Fingerprints.

  2. On the DHCP Fingerprints page, select a DHCP fingerprint and click ☰> Edit, or select the respective record and click the Edit button to modify a DHCP fingerprint.

  3. Modify the details and click Save & Close to save the record or click Cancel to cancel.

Note

DHCP fingerprints are evaluated for new clients receiving a DHCP lease. To update a fingerprint, first release (or clear) the DHCP lease for an existing client.
