Configuring Read Only or Read Write Sync

This feature allows you to configure the third-party provider with Read Only or Read Write Sync. For more information on the settings, see Microsoft Azure DNS. The functionality of Read Only or Ready Write Sync is as follows:

• Read Only Sync:

  • The periodic synchronization from the cloud provider takes place.

  • Users cannot write/update Zones and Records objects on the particular cloud provider through the Cloud Services Portal

  • Permissions needed:

    • The AWS credential with Describe Regions or “AmazonEC2ReadOnlyAccess“.

• Read Write Sync: 

  • Users can read and write from/to the cloud provider. Certain permissions are required for Read Write Sync. For more information, see Permissions required in AWS and Permissions required in Azure.
    
    

Limitations

You can only update from Read Write to Read Only on the cloud provider update. Read Only to Read/Write is not supported.
