Creating DTC Servers
The first step to set up DNS Traffic Control is to create a DTC Server. For more information, see Configuring DNS Traffic Control .
To create a DTC Server, do the following:
Go to Configure > Networking > DNS.
Click DTC and choose DTC Servers.
Click Create DTC Server.
Configure the following in the Create DTC Server screen:
State: Choose whether the DTC server is Enabled or Disabled. By default, it is Enabled.
Name: Specify a name for the DTC server.
Description: Specify a description for the DTC server.
Address: Specify the IP address or domain name of the DTC server.
Auto-create DTC Response: Choose this option if you want the DTC server to automatically create the DTC responses. The DTC response will contain an auto-created A (IPv4), AAAA (IPv6), CNAME (FQDN) record with this IP address or FQDN.
Configure Synthesized Responses: Click Add Record and configure the following:
Type: Choose the type of the record. You can choose A Record, AAAA Record, and CNAME Record.
Value: Specify the value for the record.
Tags: Optionally, specify tags. For more information, see Managing Tags.
Click Save & Close.
