Service Now - General

  • Configure the following in the General pane:

    • State: Toggle Enabled (green) or Disabled (red). By default, ServiceNow discovery is disabled.

    • Name (required): specify a name for the network discovery configuration.

    • Description: specify a description for the network discovery configuration.

    • Destination IP Space: specify the IP Space where the network discovery assets can be added.

    • Credential (required): Select a pre-existing credential from the drop-down. Alternatively, select New Credential from the drop-down and configure the following:

      • Credential Name: Specify a name for the credential.

      • Credential Description: Provide a brief description for the credential and click Next.

    • In the tags section, do the following:

      • Key: Specify the access tag key to connect to ServiceNow.  

      • Value: Specify the tag value to connect to ServiceNow and click Next.

      • URL (required): Specify a URL to connect to ServiceNow.

        • API Key: If using an API key, provide your API key to connect to ServiceNow.

        • 0Auth2.0: If using 0Auth2.0 to connect to ServiceNow, provide the following:

          • Client ID (required): Your client ID.

          • Secret Key (required): Your secret key.

          • Username (required): Your username.

          • Password (required): Your password.

      • Basic Auth: If using BasicAuth to connect to ServiceNow, provide the following:

        • Username (required): Your username. 

        • Password (required): Your password.

  • Review the provided credential information.

  • Click Next.
