Performing the Basic Plug-In Setup
You can run the Setup Wizard workflow of the Infoblox IPAM Plug-In for VMware, to perform a basic setup of the Plug-In, which includes:
Creating vRealize Automation (vRA) and IaaS host instances in the vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) inventory.
Registering the “Infoblox IPAM” type of endpoint in vRA.
Performing vRO customization in vRA. This customization consists of creating a vRO subscription to the events of the VM provisioning workflows in vRA.
Creating the default property group with default Infoblox IPAM settings in the vRA dictionary. The Infoblox property group is used in the VM request blueprint.
In vRA 7.6, you can run the Setup Wizard workflow from vRO legacy client as well as the web client.
This topic includes the following sections:
Note
If you use an embedded vRO with vRA, you can select a predefined vRO instance as the vRA host. If you use an external vRO, you must specify the host and connection parameters.
Procedures detailed in this topic may vary depending on the version of vRA that you are using. For version-specific instructions, refer to the VMware documentation links listed in the Resources section.
