Reconfiguring a VM

You can delete a NIC and modify the port group using the Reconfigure operation.

To reconfigure a VM, complete the following:

  1. In vRealize Automation, go to Items –> Deployments.
  2. Select the required VM.
  3. Click Actions and then click Reconfigure.

Note

To reconfigure a VM successfully, ensure that you apply the latest patch release of vRA 7.6.

Deleting a NIC

To delete a NIC, complete the following:

Once you reconfigure a VM to delete a NIC, that VM cannot be reconfigured again.

  1. In Reconfigure, select Network from the menu.
  2. Select the required NIC.
  3. Click Delete.

Modifying a Port Group

Note

The Reconfigure operation does not support changing the port group of a VM that is created with an A record only. Instead, you must choose a VM that is created with a combination of an A record and a Fixed Address record, or an A record and a Reservation record.

To modify a port group, complete the following:

  1. In Reconfigure, select Network from the menu.
  2. Select the required NIC, and click Edit.
  3. Enter the Network Path in the field.
