Introduction to the TE-1606 Series

In the TE-1606 series, TE-1606 is the base model upon which you can install the other appliances in the TE-1606 series. Your TE-1606 appliance comes configured out-of-the-box with a set of licenses. However, these licenses are temporary and will last for 60 days.

You can then run the set license CLI command to install subscription licenses. When you run the set license CLI command, you will be prompted to enter a license string. Contact Infoblox Support to obtain the license string and to go through the configuration process.

Running the set temp_license CLI command displays a list of licenses that can be installed on TE-1606. Depending on the software that you want to use, choose the license. The appliance then displays a list of appliances that can run the software you choose. Depending on your requirement, choose the appliance to install on top of the base TE-1606 appliance.

The figure below depicts the list of licenses displayed and the appliances that support these licenses. The appliances vary depending on the base model that you have purchased. The figure below represents the TE-1606 series of appliances.

The TE-1606 series of appliances is intended to replace the TE-1405 series of appliances.
